Oswego, IL-based Double D Home Improvements began serving customers as a general contractor for home repair and remodeling in 2005. Today, Double D provides custom repair and remodeling for kitchens and bathrooms throughout the Chicago West Suburbs, including Naperville.
Owner and Principal David DeVos is a 25-year veteran of construction. His found his passion for the profession at age 14 while working for his father’s business in Baltimore.
In 1981, he joined Hayes Construction in Baltimore, where he learned the trade from top to bottom. He became particularly specialized in new construction and kitchen renovation.
His accomplished career includes experience in the wood-coatings profession as well. He has also provided cabinet shops with color & finish solutions and managed installers for The Tailored Closet.
With a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, David has an acute sense of structure, a keen eye for details and a mind that’s quick with numbers. His skills result in an excellent finished product balancing function and appeal. His enthusiasm for creating original work inspires collaboration and achievement among the teams he leads.
In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking as a hobby. He designs and builds custom furniture and exterior decorative structures such as colonial lamp posts, bird houses and cupolas. He has also built and installed custom cabinets, CD towers and tables.
